Tags

A Tag says what a Monitor's Results are about: a mention of your brand, a competitor, a buyer looking for a product like yours. You put Tags on Monitors, and every Result carries the Tags of the Monitors that matched it, so you can sort leads from mentions in your Results, on your Dashboard and in the Digest.

Built-in Tags

Every Project has three Tags from the start:

  • Brand Brand, in blue, for mentions of your own brand;
  • Competitor Competitor, in amber, for mentions of a competitor;
  • Lead Lead, in green, for people looking for a product like yours, or with a problem you solve.

They can't be renamed, recoloured or deleted, so they have no … menu. The Match terms VoxUno suggests come with them: your brand with Brand, each competitor with Competitor, and buyers' phrases and the problems you solve with Lead.

Your own Tags

Add up to 20 Tags of your own. Wherever you pick a Monitor's Tags, its Tags button opens a list of your Project's Tags. Type a name into the box at the top: if no Tag has it, press Create, and the new Tag is created and ticked. A Tag's name:

  • can be up to 30 characters;
  • must be different from your Project's other Tags, ignoring capitals.

A new Tag gets the first colour no other Tag of your Project uses, from a set of eight. When all eight are in use, it gets the first one.

Each of your own Tags has a … menu in the list, to change its colour or delete it. You can't change its name.

Deleting one of your Tags removes it from every Monitor, deleted Monitors included, and so from their Results. Before you confirm, VoxUno tells you how many Monitors use it.

Tag a Monitor

A Monitor can have several Tags, or none. You pick them when you create it, from Setup's suggested terms, or from a Suggestion on the Monitors page. Each place has a Tags button, with the Monitor's Tags shown as chips beside it. The button's list shows each of your Project's Tags with how many Monitors use it: tick or untick a Tag there.

Tags go on Monitors, not on single Results. A Result carries every Tag of every Monitor that matched it: a post that matches both your brand's Monitor and a Lead Monitor carries Brand and Lead.

Re-tag a Monitor

Change a Monitor's Tags whenever you like, with the Tags button when you edit it on the Monitors page. Its past Results change with it: a Result's Tags are always the current Tags of the Monitors that matched it, so re-tagging a Monitor re-tags all its past Results too.

Deleting a Monitor keeps its Tags, so its Results keep them.

Filter by Tag

The sidebar on your Results page lists your Tags in their colours, each with its count. Tick one or more to see the Results carrying any of the Tags you tick, and combine them with the other filters.

Tags also show up:

  • on each Result, as coloured chips beside its matched terms;
  • on your Dashboard, which charts your Results per day by Tag: each chart leads to the Results behind it;
  • in the Digest, beside each Monitor's name.

Results and the Dashboard covers the other filters.
